The New York State Conference of Local Mental Hygiene Directors advocates at the state level on issues impacting the mental hygiene components of counties across New York State. We strive to assist our members in the planning and oversight of community mental hygiene services (mental health, substance abuse and developmental disabilites) for all people, regardless of payer or insurance status through legislative advocacy.
This section includes overviews, analyses, memoranda, and testimony on New York State budget and legislative matters that have been prepared by the Conference Governmental Relations team. This section also includes information on your representatives in the State Legislature and resources on the State budget and legislative process.
