Clinton County is Hiring a DCS!

Clinton County (NY) is seeking applicants for a permanent, full-time position as the Director of Community Services. This position serves as the  Chief Executive Officer of the local government unit responsible for community service programs, and for exercising general direction in the planning, coordination, and operation of services provided within the County for mentally ill, developmentally disabled, and chemically dependent. The Director reports to the Clinton County Community Services Board (CSB) and recommends action and polices for the purpose of establishing and maintain a comprehensive program.  The salary range is $79,295 to $109,474.

Minimum Qualifications: Either:

1. Possession of a current license to practice medicine in NYS in psychiatry, neurology, pediatrics and five (5) years of progressively responsible clinical and/or administrative experience in a governmental, private , not-for profit, or proprietary programs providing services for mental illnesses, mental retardation, developmental disability, alcoholism, or substance abuse; two (2) years must be have in an administrative capacity for the management of a program; or

2. Possession of a current license to practice as a psychologist in NYS and five (5) years as described above; two (2) years in administrative capacity; or

3. Possession of Master’s Degree in Social Work or Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and a current certified SW or a registered nurse in NYS and seven (7) years experience as described above; two (2) year in administrative capacity; or

4. Possession of a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Public Health Administration, Public Administration, Hospital, Human Services or Business Administration with seven (7) years experience as described above; two (2) years in administrative capacity.
