The 2016 Local Services Plan Guidelines for Mental Hygiene Services are now available in the online County Planning System (CPS). These guidelines continue to reflect the collaborative efforts of OASAS, OMH, OPWDD, and the Conference of Local Mental Hygiene Directors (CLMHD). They provide a framework for integrated person-centered planning that helps to ensure that the needs of individuals, particularly those with multiple disabilities who may need services from multiple systems, are addressed in the most effective and comprehensive manner.
CPS 2016 has been activated and can now be accessed through the same Web link at: https://cps.oasas.ny.gov/cps/. As always, we recommended that you bookmark this address for future access. As in previous years, a read-only version of CPS 2015 has been archived and is available on the County Data Page under the “CPS Archives” link.
In addition to required county planning forms, this year OASAS-certified and funded providers are again asked to complete a small number of brief planning surveys that provide OASAS with important information needed to support state planning initiatives and performance monitoring activities. Additional information will be sent out explaining the new planning surveys.
Because of a few technical problems in CPS that needed to be worked out, the official launch of CPS 2016 was delayed by several days. Therefore, the due date for completing required planning forms and surveys has been extended. Please note that all OASAS provider planning forms must be completed and certified by the local governmental unit no later than Monday, April 6, 2015. All county plans must be completed and certified no later than Monday, June 8, 2015. The cooperation of all counties and providers in completing these forms in a timely manner is necessary and appreciated.
